Clinical / FDA-approved — Protocol evidence level

Mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide studied in numerous human trials (heart failure, primary mitochondrial myopathy, dry AMD, Barth syndrome). Many trials did NOT meet their primary endpoints. As of accelerated approval in 2025 (brand Forzinity), it is approved ONLY for Barth syndrome — not for energy, wellness, anti-aging, or athletic use. Off-label wellness dosing is unsupported and experimental.

Contraindications — Do not use if:
